I am a biology teacher at Allendale Columbia School, an independent school in Rochester, NY.  I received a Ph.D. in genetics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008 and currently teach an introductory level biology class and AP Biology to upper school students.  I love teaching and am constantly working to give my students an engaging, fun, and effective classroom experience.  I will use this blog to post about what is happening in my classroom, lesson ideas, interesting things that I am reading, and useful links.
